Meet the Atascocita Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Atascocita
We’re the crew that shows up when your torsion spring snaps at 6 a.m. or your opener’s logic board fails before a holiday weekend. Every technician here works under The Haven Standard, which means a written price before we touch a wrench and a photo record before we leave. What ties us together isn’t a handbook. It’s that none of us could stand working the old way: vague quotes, surprise invoices, and customers left guessing what actually got fixed.
Our People
Marcus Deller, Owner
I started Servo in 2015 after ten years of watching customers get burned by the “call for a quote” routine. The rule I built this on was simple: the customer sees the failed part before anyone quotes a replacement. That became Clause 4 of The Haven Standard. I still ride along on jobs when we’re training a new technician or when a homeowner wants to talk through a full door replacement. My specialty is matching Clopay and Amarr door systems to the wind-load requirements we see in Harris County, where the coastal breeze off Lake Houston can punish a poorly spec’d installation. Outside of work, I restore vintage Craftsman tools, which is either patience or stubbornness depending on who you ask.
James R., Lead Technician
James handles the calls where something genuinely unusual is happening: a trolley carriage that’s ground itself into the rail, a limit switch that’s failed in a pattern the manufacturer hasn’t documented yet. He’s been in the trade fourteen years, certified on LiftMaster and Genie operator systems, and he keeps a notebook of part numbers that have been discontinued but still have compatible substitutes. His human detail: he names every broken spring he pulls. “This one was Bertha,” he’ll say, holding up a 0.283-inch wire diameter torsion spring from a sixteen-foot door in Kings Harbor. “She held on three years past her rating.” Customers either laugh or stare. Either way, they remember what broke and why.
Elena V., Senior Installer
Elena runs new-door and full-replacement jobs across Atascocita, from the patio homes near the golf course to the larger builds in Walden on Lake Houston. She’s certified in Wayne Dalton’s TorqueMaster system and Raynor’s proprietary torsion setups, both of which require specific knowledge most crews in this market don’t carry. Her installs are measured twice, photographed at three stages, and signed off with a written warranty before she leaves. The detail that matters: she grew up in a house where her father did every repair wrong twice before calling someone, so she talks homeowners through exactly what she’s doing and why. No condescension, no rush.
Darnell K., Service Coordinator
Darnell answers the phones. That sounds simple until you realize he’s the one who fields the 11 p.m. emergency calls, determines whether it’s a trapped-car situation or a failed safety sensor, and dispatches the right technician with the right parts already loaded. He’s been with Servo since 2019, knows the inventory on every truck, and has the Harris County permitting requirements memorized for jobs that need them. His background is in logistics, not garage doors, which is exactly why he’s good at this: he sees the job as a system, not a series of heroic repairs. He also keeps a running bet with the field crew on how many “my door just made a terrible noise” calls we’ll get the week after a cold front drops through Atascocita. The over-under is usually seven.
Tomás G., Apprentice Technician
Tomás is in his second year, rotating through every truck and every type of job. He’s already certified on Chamberlain and Craftsman opener installs, and he’s working toward his torsion spring qualification, which we don’t hand out until a technician can safely wind and set a spring with a senior tech watching and a homeowner asking questions at the same time. His current focus is learning to read a door’s balance by feel, the way James does: one hand on the lift handle, eyes on the cables, listening for the telltale lag that means a drum is slipping. Tomás grew up in Atascocita, so he knows which neighborhoods have the original builder-grade doors from the 1990s and which have already seen one replacement cycle. That local memory speeds up every diagnosis.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard was built because independent operators like us were tired of competing with companies that treated “garage door repair” as a lead-generation game. Clause 1 is the written price. Clause 4 is the photo record. The 365-Day Done Right Promise is Clause 7. Every technician on this page works to those clauses, whether they’re installing a Raynor full-view door in Eagle Springs or replacing a logic board on a ten-year-old Genie in Atascocita Shores. The documentation system, the flat-price protocol, and the customer-facing warranty all trace back to the same founding rule: evidence first, invoice second. We’re independently owned and operated, which means Marcus holds the local license and insurance, and The Haven Standard contributes the system we agreed to work to. If you want to know how we actually operate, ask for the photo record from your neighbor’s last job. We’ve probably got it.
